It was announced last year that the statue that stood in Odiba will be reinstalled this year in front of JR Higashi-Shizuoka Station, Aoi-ku, Shizuoka, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan (ＪＲ東静岡駅前の市有地 - 同市葵区長沼).

Bandai announced that visitors going to Shizuoka this year will be able to see a slightly modified version of Gundam RX-78-2 as compared to the original display at Shiokaze Park. Apart from the beam saber, a new display pedestal for the statue, with the effect of beam saber cutting through the base.

The Gundam will be on display from July 24th this year till January 10th, 2011.

So for you folks who missed the previous display, go buy your tickets to Japan and get the opportunity to see Gundam RX-78-2 again, before it becomes sentient and destroys Tokyo.
