After almost 2 years of playing my three Sankyo/Bisty Lumina framed games (Evangelion 2, Galaxy Railways, Dai Yamato 2) I decided to try something new. CR Yamato ( CR宇宙戦艦ヤマト a.k.a. Starblazers in the USA) from Fuji comes in their 2008 OvalOne frame with a number of cell and frame upgrades that provide for a great playing experience.

Back in 2006 we found out a studio named Imagi was working on a CG Gatchaman movie. Recently news surfaced on the unlikelihood of it ever seeing the light of day....oh well.

This one is also a Sankyo/Bisty Lumina frame model, and a wonderful Matsumoto themed game. Galaxy Railways falls right in line with Matsumoto's usual visual mix of Galaxy Express 999 and Yamato - and the artwork shows it. The music and graphics are beautiful and the animated cut-scenes are stunning.
